I use a variety of materials, often using repurposed materials, especially old chrome car bumpers, to create my art.
I create every one of these pieces on my own, one sculpture at a time, from the bottom up; cutting, grinding, pounding and shaping metal with various hammers, bending, drilling, welding, bluing, hand stamping, engraving, spray finishing. It's all about QUALITY, not quantity.
Each piece is a quality, SOLID, beautiful, UNIQUE, one of a kind HANDCRAFTED work of art that will last several lifetimes.
*** I've taken extra care to make these sculptures as safe as possible: grinding away and smoothing out any sharp edges and points. ***
Proudly made by Johnny O. in his cozy workshop in Molt, Montana,
I take pride in what I do, creating only high quality pieces... the kind of quality that is hard to find these days.
It takes time creating every one of my sculptures, and my prices reflect that time. It's all about quality, not quantity.
I want to provide art that is pleasing to the eye, and will also last a lifetime.
If you agree, I hope you will consider investing in my work. Thanks!
I LOVE Fly Fishing and hiking, and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these adventures. Nature is Art.
I'm always inspired by nature's ability to persevere, often sprouting up from the most unlikely nook or cranny.
My sculptures represent nature's triumph; plants growing out of rocks. I often incorporate Montana rocks into my sculptures... rocks that I've collected from my favorite Fly Fishing spots and hikes with my adventurous wife. (This photo is from our hike to Sacagawea Peak, near Bozeman, Montana).
"Looking For Sphinx". Ennis, Montana. Reclaimed chrome from old car bumpers. (Notice Sphinx Mountain in the distance).
"Madfish Rising", Ennis, Montana... near the Madison River. From old car chrome bumpers. Cattails are steel & chrome.
"Two Piece Trout"; part of the Madfish Rising Sculpture. Ennis, MT. Chrome from old car bumpers.
